Fertilizers Europe will be part of the European Sustainable Energy Week this year, on 22 June with the panel "Bringing H2 to indust1y". The event will look into the hydrogen economy from the perspective of the industrial consumer.
As a producer and consumer of about 40% of the total European hydrogen, the fertilizer industry is uniquely placed to contribute to the EU Green Deal and the development of a hydrogen economy in Europe. Green ammonia is a carbon-free energy carrier and possesses immense potential for hydrogen storage. Furthermore, it is the only carbon-free fuel, holding the promise to decarbonize the shipping industry by 95% by 2035.
Panellists are:
Nicolas Baglin, Decarbonization Funding Manager, Saint-Gobain
Jorgo Chatzimarkakis, CEO, Hydrogen Europe
